Condition: Super simple and elegant! Made of a black rayon crepe,
this dress has black satin gathered on the waist, and inset around the waist and down to the hem on the left hand side.
Side metal zip and has a small metal zip up the back of the dress on the neckline. Possibly home sewn.
Overall in very good condition, there are light pulls on the bust darts and on the zip placket, not noticable when wearing the dress.
Also the inside of the neckline has light ring around the collar, nothing a little dry cleaning won't cure.
Otherwsie the dress is in excellent conditon, no discolorations or stains of the underarms, or anywhere else on the dress.
Overall solid in fabric and construction.

Condition: I just love the style on this dress! The bodice is a tailored black cotton velvet, and the skirt is a very full black taffeta with a black velvet cord trim across the hips. Dress has a side metal zip and velvet cord belt. It is not lined, and I think it may be home sewn. Dress is in excellent condition, it does not have any visable wear on the neckline or armpits, nor does the dress have any holes in the fabric or pulls on the seams. Clean and ready to wear! |

Looks to be home sewn.

Stunning black rayon dress slim with pleats in the skirt, short sleeves, a netted keyhole on the bodice framed with many sequins. Side metal zip. Looks to be home sewn.
There is a small pin hole in the netting at the top nearest the neckline, also there is light wear on the neckline seam, just fraying nothing serious. No stains or discolorations on the dress itself.

Super sexy black rayon crepe dress with keyhole neckline and pleats down the front of the skirt. 3/4 sleeves and has a back metal zip.
Overall thedress is solid, but when you look at the larger photo look at the two decorative buttons on the neckline, they are reddish, and under where they
are sewn is also reddish and the fabric is beginning to pull apart. I think this is repairable for a seamstress with talent.
I've had this packed away for many many years so a dry cleaning is a must for this dress.

This dress is out of this world. The neckline is black netting with glass tube beads and diamond shaped real black Jet
beads! Sadly four of them are broken and one is missing. Dress is made of a medium/heavy weight rayon crepe, cap sleeves, metal zip up the back, and two rows of ruffles
on the waist/hips. Dress itself is solid, no holes or spots on the garment, underarms show a minimum of wear.
Don't like this shining example of 1940s fashion slip past you!

Super sexy evening dress of black rayon crepe with a slit up the right side and gathered swag on the right hip.
Side metal zip and one in the neckline. Overall the dress is solid in fabric and construction -- being sold as is because of a reddish
line across the shoulders and around the neckline. Possibly is can be dyed or touched up with a waterless method. (never put rayon crepe in water
it will shrink big time).
A nice example of 1940s fashion for a great price!)
