Description: Girlfriend, if you fit this dress, you have got to have it!
It is made of a Medium weight cotton, which has a waffle like texture, and the dress has a side metal zip. The dress is not lined, nor does it have pockets. But it does have a unique bodice of cotton lace (which is partially lined in the same cotton as the dress).
The bodice is done in a squared style, and the lining is cut to just cover your bust. The skirt is made up of tons of little pin pleats that are thin at the waist and wide at the hem.
The underarms and neckline do not have any sweat stains, and the only fault I found was a couple of tiny repairs on the shoulders (I'd say from the dress hanging on a hangar for so long, it would have put stress on the delicate lace.
The dress is solid in fabric and construction -- clean and ready to wear!

Condition: This dress is out of this world! Made of a novelty print in rayon crepe the dress has Joan Crawford-esque shoulder pads, goldtone front buttons, a super poofy peplum, floor length skirt and short sleeves.
I think this is home sewn, and as far as I can see in immaculate condition!
The neckline and underarms are spotless!
Solid in fabric and construction -- clean and ready to wear, you can't miss with this beauty!

black velvet evening gown with white satin detailing the collar and sleeve
cuffs. This was worn by a friend of mine many years ago to her rehersal dinner (you should have seen the dress she was married in!)
Made of a rayon velvet, it has stiffness, yet still
flows. Light inconspicuous wear under the arms and on the hem.
Has a nylon zip up the back, which looks to be a replacement.

Condition: Okay, I am calling this suit "mannish" because the suit reminds me of a man's suit is the fact it is so well tailored, the jacket has double brested styling, wide collar and is fully lined in a heavy acetate. It also has a pocket on the inside. Skirt is not lined, and the side metal zipper is a bit sticky. There are pin holes in the waistband from being pinned to a hanger and left in an attic for well over 50 years. It was well protected by the cleaner bag, so no worries on any other faults/damage/etc. No holes in the gabardine.
Don't let this beauty pass you by.

Description: This is by far one of the most extrordinary dresses I have ever had -- or rather -- a slip? Made of white cotton musilin, it is both machine and hand sewn with snaps and hooks and eyes on the side. Skirt part is cut on the bias so the hem is very full and flowing.
Small pulls on the underarm seams, slight discoloration of the same. In fantastic shape for it's age -- superior construction skills used to fashion this garment. The dress is solid in fabric and construction -- clean and ready to wear!
